various problems

Ok people...I've got some random problems. First of all,
when I watch things on Windows Media Player (just
downloades 9 series to make sure) but it slows down
sometimes. Then, everything gets slow. I recently
downloaded Mcafee antivirus and spybot (b/c i had a
trojan). My system slows majorly down sometimes...any
reasons why? Does McAfee slow down the system? Also, my
windows automatic update doesn't work. I've set it up,
enabled, and it used to work. Now....nothing. If you
have any advice, please help. Thanks.

McAfee's "Real-time" scan engine has always impacted
Windows performance. All anti-virus software does that,
but not to the level that McAfee does. If the performance
degrades to the level you describe the solution is obvious,
try another brand of Anti-Virus software.

the video that i'm watching starts slowing down by like
the video becoming choppy and not progressing
fluidly..the words don't match the mouths and if you try
to advance or anything...it takes it a second like i have
a million things running on my computer. The mcafee
antivirus interferes with performance? i am able to get
a free copy of it w/ what i do...but at what cost...the
speed of my computer? any more suggestions about the
video would be great. Thanks...

Do these slowdown issues happen when you're trying to watch something
streaming from the web, or things which are currently residing on your
system?
