I have a few issues with Outlook 2007, some possibly due to the upgrade from
xp2002 professional. I'm running XP2002 o/s and Office 2007 Professional
with BCM.
1) How do I set html as default in replies and forwards in emails? it
works in new messages but currently I have to select options to make html and
then re-insert my signature so it picks up the links.
2) When I try to open attachments by either double clicking or right
clicking to open from the attachment itself in the preview pane, Word opens
but I get an error message "the system couldn't find the file specified."
however, with Wordstill open, if I retry to open in the same way it executes.
3) Related to qu.2 (Office 2007) - When I try to open recent documents from
my start menue I get the same error message above.
So basically I have to open the application before I can access any of these
documents, whereas before it would just open automatically.
4) I'm trying to archive my old email items but when I open 'clean mail
box' and auto archive I get: error while archiving folder "IPM Subtree" in
store "business contact manager". You are attempting to archive your ata to
A MS Outlook 97-2002 .pst which s is anon-unicode data file. To preserve
multilingual data, you must choose a unicode data file, such as MS outlook
..pst..." I press OK and then get creat/open pst file and have following
options: archive, archive backup, freelance office personal folders,
freelance office services, freelance office services backup, outlook and
outlook backup. If I select any of them it says I can't select outlook
97-2002 pst file and to select an outlook pst file! HELP!!
5) I have an error which I think was caused by using Esynch for my motorola
A760 - i keep getting a birthday reminder but I'm unable to disable it by
clicking dismiss or delete or even open the reminder. I have to exit but it
comes up with every other reminder and sometimes on its own just for the fun
of it. I have tried deleting all occurences of this birthday in both my
outlook and phone but nothing's happening. I had an issue with another
birthday before and eventually managed to get rid by deleting occurences but
this time no luck.
6) How do I stop the syncrhonising of folders or cancel a send/receive as
this stops my pc for the duration?
