Variations in formatting and pg. count on different computers.

Why do I get variations in formatting and page counts from one computer to
the next. I work at various places: i.e. home, library, my friends house. All
the computers I use are running Office 2000. I have several Word documents
with multiple pages numbering up to 113 pages. On one computer the same
document will number 105 pages, on another 108 pages, and yet on a third
computer 113 pages. The end of page formatting varies as well. I've deleted
the normal.dot on all three computers and allowed Word to create a new
template.

Why do I get this variation and how can I correct it?

Thanks for your quick response.

How do I handle this problem if I don't have the same printer at all the
locations. Can I install the printers even though the are not physically
attached to the various computers I'm using? If so how?

You can install any printer driver and set it as the active printer in Word,
regardless of whether or not the printer is physically present. This will
allow you to format the document for that specific printer.
