#VALUE! when trying to calculate from results of a VLOOKUP

I have a spreadsheet that has a ON HAND and COST column where I get the data
using a VLOOKUP. I want to add a column that will multiplly these two column
if the ON HAND column is greater than zero. I used an IF statement that
would mulitpy these two columns if the ON HAND amout is greater than 0. It
works fine if the cell is greater than zero. If it is blank then I get
#VALUE! listed in the cell. Is there a way to have it appear as 0 or blank
if the ON HAND cell is blank?

Your mention of VLOOKUP makes me suspect that you've posted this in the
