Valid Windows XP Home copy license key?

I`m user from Window XP SP2.
and as fas as i knew and experienced...if you want to know your CD key
is genuine or not.
You must install you OS and put your CD key, after that you use tools
Microsoft Genuine Validation Diagnostic.
Maybe it will helpfull. :)
