v.92 protocol does not detect

I recently upgraded from Win98 to WinXP. I had been using
a US Robotics v.92 Win INT fax modem with no problems. I
had downloaded all necessary updates for v.92 technology
and it worked until after the upgrade.

Even after re-installing the modem and necessary
upgrades/updates, I have yet to get my modem configured as
having the V.92 technology.

My isps tech support is of NO help at all.

Any help on this issue would be appreciated, either via
email or as a reply here.

Win modems rely on Windows to provide the nesscessary controls. They do not
keep the controls in the modem. Providing you have downloaded and installed
the correct XP drivers, then you will have to contact US Robotics.

Also, most Windows 98 to XP upgrades get these type of problems.
