Sort of hard to find now ... Google around for the freeware TxtPrint
program. If I recall correctly, it offered options to print 2, 4 or 8
pages to a single standard sheet of printer paper.

not that hard - it's listed on the ACF program pages. . .

I use an old HP Deskjet 500.

Since you don't mention OS or what types of documents you are trying to
print, it's hard to give accurate information. If it's a standard Windows
box trying to print from a Windows program, you can always check the print
properties.

File menu > print > properties > layout > pages per sheet
