Utility to alert of a stopped process

Hi all, I've been searching all day for a utility or
process and was hoping someone here might be able to
help. We have a small homegrown application that will be
running on a remote PC. We want to make sure this app is
constantly running and want to be notified if tha app were
to either hang or stop. I tried setting an alert on the
process, but it seems that when the app close (did this to
test) the alert stops which makes sense since it's not
there to monitor any more.

Has anyone used or found something that would be help me
in this situation?

Haven't looked at it for a while, but google for a shareware app called
ServersAlive and see if it looks useful - I remember it being quite nice.
