Using Word as the e-mail editor

I have recently been upgraded from Outlook 2000 to 2003,
but I still have Word 2000.

I can't use Word as my e-mail editor; is it possible to
set this up so it's "backwards" compatible?

No. If you really need to use Word as your editor with Outlook, you must
either revert to Outlook 2000 or upgrade to Word 2003. Versions must match.
