Using Word as e-mail editor - turn off ruler

When using Word as the editor, how do I turn off the ruler for all future
e-mails?

Seems like such a simple thing, but it doesnt seem to stick.

You must uncheck in Word, not OL. Open Word, go to View & uncheck it. All
Word docs will not have the ruler, too.

It is off in Word but still shows in outlook.
