Hi,

I just got a laptop and I've set up a network and it's
working just fine, but the problem is I can't access the
internet on the laptop when i'm online on the main
computer but the network works just fine and i can access
all the files on each computer. I ran the networking
wizard on both computers and I think i selected all the
right options. The laptop has one conection from the main
computer that says AOL (my ISP) but i can't connect to
it, it gives me no explanation on the error, just that an
error ocurred. I don't know if i have to connect throught
it, or if the connection will just connect by itself.
Please help me. Thanks.

The problem is, that AOL is not designed to work on a
network, so has no visible windows internet icon in the
taskbar when connected. Therefor not allowing the user to
gain access to its internet properties.
You could try this:
1, Double click Network Places
2, In the left hand column, click show network
connections.
3, There should be an internet or network icon, or both.
4, Right click any icons that are there and click
properties.
5, Go to advanced, and tick the box: Allow other networks
to connect to the internet through this connection.

Try this on all visible icons in the folder.
Good luck. Steve
