using TV out and Monitor

Hello
I need to use a beamer on the TV out plug on my notebook
wich works fine but the Screen on the Laptop shuts down.
Is there a way to run both so i can face the audience?

Are you talking about Infrared?
Perhaps someone has invented special hardware...?
Yours is a common dilemma.
