I need to add an e-mail extension on to a list of e-mail addresses i.e.
"john.smith" needs to have @msn.com added to it. I have a whole field of
names that need the extension added to them. I thought I could concantenate
two fields the name field and the extension field. I get invalid function
whenever I try to add the "@" symbol

a suggestion:

lets say you have a.b in A1.

enter '@msn.com in B1. notice the apostrophe.

then, in C1, enter the formula: =concatenate(A1, B1).

it will display (e-mail address removed) (without the apostrophe).

You need to have 3 fields for that
A1 B1 C1 D1
smith @ mns.com =A1&B1&C1

Copy and paste special D1 using the value format

Thats it
