I am looking for keyboard shortcuts for PowerPoint.
1. How do I move backwards from one placeholder to another?
2. When a placeholder is selected how do I use the keyboard to get inside
the placeholder to start typing?

You can move from one placeholder to other on the same slide by pressing the
Tab key (more than once if required).

To edit a selected text placeholder, press Enter and start typing.

After finishing editing, press Escape to exit the text edit mode - then you
can press the Tab key to move between other placeholders on the same slide.

Under the PowerPoint help, look-up 'keyboard shortcuts' for a plethora of
information.

When an object is selected, you can move from object to object by hitting
the tab key. To move in reverse sequence hit Shift + Tab.
