i have a PC with XP Pro ...

i wanna install XP Media Center Edition (MCE), which requires a clean
install ...

my plan is to install XP MCE into the existing C:\Windows dir and therefore
overwrite the current XP Pro install ... i plan to leave the C:\Program
Files dir untouched ...

if i use the to save my current XP Pro
settings will this same me the trouble of reinstalling all the applications
currently installed into the C:\Program Files dir?

thank you!
