I have an old lexmark printer that i had with my old
computer and want to install the software into the
computer i have now but i am using windows XP . Can i
still use it or is there some configuration I must do to
use windows 95 programs with the windows XP. Thanking
you in advance. RONALD HENRY sends

You need Windows XP drivers, at the least. Using any software that came with
the printer is a crap shoot. There is probably better software available,
that far surpasses what you had in Windows 95.

Check the Lexmark site for drivers. XP does not seem to come with any
for their really old models (thought without the type number it is
difficult to tell). Makers on the whole are very reluctant to write new
drivers for old ones that in win95/98 used techniques that are forbidden
in XP
