Using rewritable DVD

I cannot overwrite my dvd nor delete the maps. How can I format de DVD so I
can rewrite this dvd.

You can not use the built-in CD writing tools of XP. These only can handle
CD-R(W)s.

Ahead's InCD (Nero)

Roxio Easy Media Create (Drag to CD -- formerly DirectCD).
