using refilled ink cartridges

i refilled my ink cartridges and now my canon printer won't recognize them...
i know there's a way to disable this but i can't remeber how. can anybody
help me???
 
Wish I could ~ but share frustration. Have same problem w/Dell. Xchanged
black ink cartridge = okay,
but now color cartridge won't print.
