Using Word, I have used outlook to print envelopes in the past. Now when I
try to do this Word closes as soon as I click the contact in Outlook to
print. I have Office Pro 2007. I've tried reinstalling and using the repair
feature. Can someone help me with this.

Graham, I tried your templates and the same thing happened. when the program
went to Outlook to get the address and I clicked on an address, word simply
closed. This has never happened to me before in other versions of Office and
it has been working fine until this week. I guess I could try a system
restore to see if it corrects it. Thanks for the reply and if you have any
other ideas please let me know.

I just got this answer from Microsoft regarding my problem. It worked and I
would like to share with anyone else having this problem.

Hello Larry,

I am Rajesh from Microsoft Word Support and I have taken ownership of your
support case 1047682298 created on 10/22/2007.

From your problem description, I understand that Word 2007 crashes when you
try to access Outlook contacts.

If you have Outlook 2007 configured.
Please try these steps to resolve the issue.

Open Word 2007.
Click on the office button (Extreme top left corner of the screen) and
select Word options.
Click on the trust center tab to select trust center settings.
Click on the add-ins tab and check the option for disable all application
add-ins.
Click on ok twice to exit to the blank document.
Close Word and reopen again.
Try clicking on Outlook contacts and reply if Word crashes.

If still Word crashes after trying the above steps continue with the next
step inline.

Click on start and select Control Panel.
Click on Add or Remove Programs.
Select Office 2007 in the list of Programs after they get populated.
Click on change to start office setup.
Click on Repair. (You may need the office Cd incease it asks for one while
repairing the application)
After the repair process gets completed please check if you can select
outlook contacts without Word crashing.

Please reply with details with the steps performed and the result so that we
can assist you accordingly.

Thanking you.

Have a nice day ahead.

Sincerely,

Rajesh Hebbar

Which part worked? The add-ins? Problem now is that you will have to
introduce your add-ins one-by-one to find which was causing the problem and
get an update for it.

Yes, it was the add-ins. I think I know which one. I just added an add-in
to read open office documents. Right now, I'm just content with getting my
envelope printing back. Now I can try your templates.
