Using Outlook to access web-based email

Amie

I want to use Outlook to access a webbased email
account. I went through the "add a new email account
wizard" and typed in all the correct settings (POP3
incoming and SMTP outgoing) and then did the "test
account settings" and keep getting this error message...

Task 'Training Outsourcing - Sending and Receiving'
reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to send the
message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: ?0 5.7.3 Requested
action aborted; mailbox unavailable'

But I know I have the correct email account typed
in...Any ideas what I did wrong?

Web-based email accounts don't have POP and SMTP settings, so it's hard to
say whether you have set it up correctly or not.

I have SBC DLS and it has web based email, however you can
choose to use Outlook and a POP3 and send out with a
SMTP, so it may depend on what service you are using. Of
you have SBC they will help you set up Outlook to use POP.
