using outlook 2007 with pop3 mail cannot view message body

After configuring Outlook 2007 for my pop3 internet email provider I can see
the header of email messages, but cannot see the body either in the reading
pane, or if I double click the item, the body portion is invisible and does
not fill in. Also if I attempt to create a new email item, again, I can only
see the address portion to: subject, etc. the body area is transparent and I
cannot type the email message.
I used the same configuration on my desktop and everything works fine. Has
anyone else experienced this problem?
Thanks!
Bruce

Make sure you do not have an antivirus program scanning incoming mail.
