Using outlook 2002 xp with office 2003

Dear all, I use an accounts package called QuickBooks Pro 2005 and it only
synchronises with outlook 2002. I have tried to find a way of synchronising
it with Outlook 2003 but no luck. What I want to do it to run Outlook 2002
with Office 2003 - that means uninstalling Outlook 2003 and installing
Outlook 2002. This seemed straight forward, but then I could not import the
Outlook 2003 pst file into 2002 - also I wonder if there might be some
problems running Outlook 2002 with the other Office 2003 components. Does
anyone have any advice? With many thanks in advance. Best regars, Simon

You obviously used the new Unicode-format pst file, which is not
backwards-compatible. You need to re-install Outlook 2003, create a new
pst file in 97-2002 format, and copy all your data into it. then you can
uninstall Outlook 2003 and re-install Outlook 2002.
The only downside I can think of in running Outlook 2002 with Office
2003 is that you will not be able to use Word as your Email editor.
