Notepad on NT4 and W2k could be used as a running log by inserting ".LOG" as the first line of the file editted. Notepad on XP doesn't insert a timestamp as it did in previous versions. Is there a way to restore this feature?

Hi

After you have saved the file and then re-opened it you should see a time stamp.

Hi

It works for me (WinXP SP1)...

Hasn't worked for me since mocved to XP. Now at SP1 plus all the M$ patches. Any other specifics I can check? I get an error message from Notepad: "Not enough memory available to complete this operation. Quit one or more applications to increase available memory, and then try again." I have a Gig of RAM and typically run 200-300 Megs, so that error statement isn't valid.
