Using Netdom.exe to create a trust

C

Chris R.

I've looked at the command line help and resource kit
Online Books.... afraid I'm a bit rusty w/command syntax -
please advise....

Here is what I've got....

I want to setup a two-way trust between domain A and
domain B (A = Win2K-DC (SP4); B = NT4-PDC (SP6a)), which
are on the same segment; and name resolution is happening
just fine. I am running the command from the A DC and I
get the following:

C:\>netdom trust
abc /domain:xyz /userD:administrator /PasswordD:
* /twoway

Type the password associated with the domain user:

(which I do - then I get)

The parameter is incorrect.

Please: give me an example of the syntax as I am almost
certain this is the issue.

TIA to all!

If I remember correctly, you need to specify either /Add or /Remove, even
though the syntax shows them as [optional].

Yep - you're right... that did it - thanks!
