Using Multiple Domains

I have a domain at home and a domain at work. I would
like to be able to switch between these two domains.
However, when I change the system identification
information to join my home domain, I lose the
information for my domain at work. When I am at work and
change my system identification to join my work domain, I
need to get the system administrator involved to re
authenticate.

Is there a way where I can have multiple domains on my
laptop? I have tried using two different hardware
profiles, but when I change the domain in one, it updates
the domain in the other hardware profile.

Thanks in advance for any help.

A single install may be a member in only one domain.
You need multiboot (two installs) which probably would
not be good for your situation, or you need to learn how to
accomplish what is needed when not joined to the domain.
Most things can be done by first authenticating to the other
domain, after which many things will pass-through. You
can use the network credential manager in the account to
tell it to always authenticate as some account when going
to such-and-such domain (this is in the User Accounts
control panel applet under that account).
Now, there are some application that may check for the
current domain and account of the user in a way that will
make it so you cannot use them, but these would be more
the exception than the rule.

Hi,

Are you referring to another situation where you want to work on different domains on the same computer. That means creating 2 different profiles on the computer and then logging off the domain then logging on to the other domain. But that is another scenario and you cannot work simultaneously between them because only 1 of the domains will be available at a time.
