I am trying to use Symantec ghost 5.1c, to back up my system, but when I try to run it, it tells me that File-Volume MFT and File-log MFT are damaged and to run CHKDSK, CHKDSK does not find any problems, any ideas

You need a minimum of GHOST 2002 for XP, which has a different variation of
the NTFS file system from windows NT, and maybe also from windows 2000.
"2002" is the designation for the home user version of GHOST. Unfortunately
I do not know the equivalent enterprise edition version.
