Using FSTW for multiple users

I am trying to use FSTW to migrate from old to new PC, with several user
profiles. (Old PC running XP Home SP2, new running clean install of XP Pro
SP2.) How do I ensure that files and settings for multiple users get
transferred correctly? If I create users on the new machine first, FSTW seems
to ignore the Documents and Settings\<username> folders, and creates
<username>.<machinename> folder . If I don't create users, the Administrator
account acquires the My Documents and Desktop of the user who ran the wizard
on the old machine. Do I need to do several selective runs of the wizard, one
per user? What should I include/exclude for transfer?

My guess is that when you create the new users on the new PC, they have a
different SID and therefore Windows appends a .machinename on them because
the user accounts do not have permissions to the old profiles.

I don't use the FAST myself: I find that just copying over the My
Documents, Desktop and Favorites folders to the new profiles seems to be
sufficient enough.
