Using form field for FROM address in emailed form

Hi,
I've repeatedly tried to get the forms that I have emailed to various
addresses to use the EMAIL form field in the form as the FROM address in the
email.

To do this I've:
1) In Form Field properties, OPTIONS, EMAIL RESULTS tab selected FORM FIELD
NAME in the REPLY-TO LINE field,
2) Entered the form field name (a very original field named EMAIL) in the
next box.
3) Saved and exited, etc.

The idea is that the form will hit the TO email address and force an
autoresponder before being picked up by the maillist for forwarding to the
approrpriate parties.

However, no matter how I set this, the REPLY-TO address is always my
domain's SMTP default address.

Is there something else I should be doing to make this work?

Cheers,
Pam

Not possible when using the FP Form Handler.

The from address will always be the address your web host as set up for your account.

However using under Form Properties, you can set the reply to field to use the field that you have
on your form that allow a user to enter their email address.

So when you receive the email and click reply to sender in your email application, the email address
the user entered will be available at the send to address.

I believe I DID use the Form Properties as you described...not sure how the
FP Form Handler comes into play to disrupt the Properties setup...

I believe I did set the Form Properties exactly as you described...not sure
how the FP Form Handler has disrupted the Properties setup, however. How is
that disabled to use the Properties instead?

You web host must set up the autoresponder on their system to use the Reply-To line, not the From
line. If the host doesn't configure the autoresponder in this manner, then you will not be able to
use it.
