Some of our study group have Excel 2003 while others have Excel 2007. Is
there a patch available for Excel 2003 in order to use 2007 spreadsheets?
There have been some small issues.

You can save workbooks in Excel 97-2003 format from Excel 2007. BUT! If you
use Excel 2007 features that are not available in prior releases, you will
lose those things because of incompatibility. Excel 2007 will run its
compatibility checker when you save a file in an earlier format.

Yes. If you try to open a .xlsx file in Excel 2003, it will ask
whether you want to download a compatibility viewer.

But if your Excel 2007 users save their file in Excel 97-2003 format
(.xls) it should open just fine in Excel 2003. What "issues" are you
having?

A: Maybe because some people are too annoyed by top posting.
Q: Why do I not get an answer to my question(s)?
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
