Using DualView on xp and different profiles

Hi. I and a friend want to buy a second monitor for my pc so we both
can use the pc to work together but when i went to display on xp, i
realised that i had to have two or more monitors to "identify" the
monitors in "display" on the "settings" tab from "DualView." We are
hesitating on making the purchase for a reason: security reasons. I
want to know if i can create two users on the pc so that on boot-up, he
can logon using his profile while i can logon with mine real-time. is
this possible or will both monitors logon onto the same profile
real-time?
this is really important to us.
thanks
david

Nope. One person per PC at a time - you can't both login to different
profiles at the same time. (Unless you were each using your own PC to
connect to that PC, had roaming profiles enabled and a Server edition
instead of an end-user operating system installed but that's a whole other
can of worms. So well, no.)

thanks, Galen. Now if i install a web server on this xp machine,
activating the server services, this is possible right?
if it is, it'll really save i and my friends some money and space where
we work.
thanks. would really need to resolve every issue before i invest in the
idea.

You'd need a very expensive OS and licenses for that. You'd want AD, server
2k3, and then additional computers and the hardware/architecture to handle
it.
