using asr when size limited

does anyone know how to use asr to create a disaster recovery option---and
while using it, select only the files necessary to recover? when I use it,
asr wants to back up 6-8 gigs and surely this is not all environment files?
I have a second drive that is fat32, partition lmited to 4 gigs. I keep
failing to create asr backup. what can I do? (I also have zip drive and cd
burner.)

ASR backup copies the complete windows partition. ASR backup can not
compress backup files. ASR backup is limited by the fat32 partition (4 gig
file size). Convert the partition to NTFS and backup as you will, as long as
you have sufficient room on the drive for the backup file that is created.

How is the ASR floppy created for this one partition backup?
How does ASR recovery a partition that contains the backup file?
Can you point us to some documentation that explains ASR backup and recovery
using anything less than the "everything on this computer" to create the ARS
floppy and how the ASR recovery would work with a backup on one of the
partitions?
