Using AIW to capture audio only

Is there a way to capture audio only via the AIW 7500? What I'm trying to do
is hook a tape deck up to the inputs and capture directly to MP3 or WAV
since I don't have an adapter to take RCA plugs into my soundcard.

Thanks

Better just to get an adapter. They're cheap. Also, you'll want to amplify
the signal before the sound card (tape deck/amplifier/sound card).

I haven't tried that, but here's an idea:
Capture with VirtualDub, Save only the Audio track, while
converting/compressing into MP3 o whatever code is installed..

or pick a MJPEG codec or such and crank the quality down to minimum, leave
the audio quality high, and like DrFish said before, use VDub to strip the
audio track from the video.

Yes, a 2xRCA to 3.5mm stereo jack (which I presume is what's on your sound
card?) should cost next to nothing - anyone with a soldering iron could whip
one up in a minute or so.

Here's an idea - run the MMC, minimise to the task bar, then run a audio app
to record the audio directly.

If you pick composite input there will be no picture - and you have full use
of the audio inputs on the AIW card.

If you want MP3 - it may be better to record Wav - then convert to MP3
later. And Nero's Audio tool seems quite good from what I have tried of it.
