Using Access2K database in AccessXP

I have developed an Access 2K/Windows 2K database front-end and back-end
structure, as the company had chosen this as company's standard. I don't know
why but now we have one user using Windows XP / Access XP (I am sure it won't
be the last) and every time this user opens the database a screen come up
said: "It may be dangerous to open this database. Cancel or Open?" (it
doesn't ask to convert).

My questions are:
- Could my database or the data be damaged by this user just because it is
using a newer version of Access?
- Shouldn't they be compatible?
- Do I really HAVE to create a XP version of my front-end? (I guess it is
recommended)

Thanks

Hi,

Your MS Access 2000 db is perfectly functional in XP. The
warnings are a product of the ultra-high security built
into both Office and Windows XP. The "...it may be
dangerous to open..." is referring to the fact that the
db is an ".mdb" file. There is no need to convert the
database, since XP can run dbs developed in 2000 OR XP.
Your XP user will be fine to open the db.

Hope this helps.
