Using a calling card and dialup networking

I'll be traveling and would like to use my calling card to
connect to my ISP. How do I do this? My ISP does not have a
local number for the location I'll be at. Thanks. PS I
will be using win XP Pro and earthlink ISP.

Create a new dial up connection. In the connection properties select
Dialing Rules and click Edit. Select the 'Calling Card' tab. There is a
list there for some common calling card providers. If yours is shown,
select it and fill in the account number and pin information and test. If
not shown, or it doesn't work, you can create a new calling card item.

It can be tricky to get these set up right. For example, one I've used
will prompt to press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish and required pauses of x
seconds between some of the prompts, so it sometimes takes a little tuning
and patience, but will work well once you get it.
