Cd's are not for one os or another. Cd's will work in any os. Do you mean
you have a program that was made for win98 and you wish to install and use
it on xp? If so, most likely it will work fine. Only way to tell is to try
it or check out the programs website for information or updates.

Why not just try it? You won't break anything.

If that doesn't work go to the registry;
localmachine<software<microsoft<windowsnt<current version and then change
windows XP in 98 the installer should run then.
Assuming that your question is can you install a Windows
95/98-era program under Windows XP, the answer depends on what
program it is. Most will work, but not necessarily all. Post back
with the name of the program.
Or just try it. There's no risk; it will either work or not.
