How do I hookup 2 modems with 2 phone lines to increase
internet speed. This info used to be aeasily avcailable
for win98, but I can't locate the directions for XP. I
only have dialup options, and I'm just wasting a good
second line that's doing nothing. Thanks

First, you need to determine if your ISP supports this.
Some may charge extra for such use.
Then if so, inquire what configuration they recommend for
Multilink Point-to-Point.

Overall, it will work best if you have 2 identical modems.

For the cost of the 2nd line, perhaps your local telco
offers DSL? Drop the extra line and use DSL for the PC on
the remaining line and your costs are probably about the
same total.

If no DSL, ask if they can give you ISDN. Some places in
the country offer unmetered ISDN for a reasonable price,
and while 112-128k is slower than DSL, even 56k ISDN will
likely be faster than 2 modems bonded.
