Users lost

I recently installed TweakUI, and inadvertently deleted
my main user. The only user I have available now is Guest.
Because this profile does not have "authority" to make any
system changes, I cannot recover my Internet connection,
etc.
How can I restore, or recreate a user with administration
authority?

G'Day Bill,

You do have ONE thing that MAY work.

Try to log in as 'Administrator', leaving the
password blank.

Xp Prof - If you see the Welcome Screen,
press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice then
try to login.

Xp Home - you need to boot to Safe Mode
to log in as Administrator.

If it works, set up your user(s) and password(s)
again.

Then reboot and go from there!

may care to visit

OR

http://www.winternals.com/products/repairandrecovery/erdcommander2002.asp
and consider ERD Commander
- (you'll need a diskette and a friend's PC).

If you are successful, do CHANGE the Administrator
password and keep it in a safe place (you CANNOT
delete Administrator).

Hello

if you boot in safe mode
you can access the administartor account
If you are on xp home there is no password.
you should bve able to change them there
