Username and Password prompting

We use Outlook 2003. Our exchange 2000 server sits in another domain to our
2000 AD account. Every time you loginto outlok it prompts you for a
username and password e.g.domain\username. Even if you tick the box which
says remember the username and password it does NOT do this. Does anyone
know how to cache credials in this instance to stop username/password
prompts?

It may be that you'll not be able to cache the credentials. The Exchange
admins where I work, for example, have disabled the caching of those
credentials.

It works on some older machines so it must be to do with the configuration
of outlook or office on newer pcs. Any ideas?
