6 PC Network with ADSL Modem/Router/switch accessing WAN intranet.
Windows XP

To log into my company intranet my username needs to be in this format
"domain\username" , "password"

at the moment my Browser login is formatting like this
"machinename\username" , "password"

How do i force my system to format the username as "domain\username" not
"machinename\username"
as this prevents "autologin with current user credentials" from working
properly when i open IE and im forced to type the bloody login details every
damn time ?
incidentally i cant see an option in machine identification to specify a
domain , i can only see specify workgroup.

Thanx in advance

When you right click on My Computer,-Properties-Computer Name, there will be
a button Network ID. Click it and follow that wizard to connect it to a
domain, or the button below it 'Change' will specify if it is logging into a
domain or workgroup.

Hope that helps any.
