User trouble

I am having trouble with the user account settings. My screensaver and power
settings are not working at all after SP2 upgrade. Is there anyone who can
help me get back to where my laptop will protect my data when I leave my desk?
Thanks to anyone who helps me correct this situation.

Go to the laptop mftr.'s website and download/install drivers for your
video card and any laptop-specific power management programs.
