User Switching and Logoff

Since allowing autoupdate to patch my machine, If I try to logoff a user or switch users the machine hangs. It just sits on the "saving user settings" screen. I've left it for upto 20 minutes but nothing happens. If you shutdown or restart works fine.

Do you know which particular Update has caused the problem? If not uninstall your most recent Updates in reverse order - Windows Update page>Installation History. Then when you have found the culprit, see if there any mention of it in:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsupdate - the Update gurus should be able to help you.
