I have a mix computers. Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP SP2. Win2K
computers have Office 2k and XP computers have Office 2003. On top of that,
some computer have specific programs installed on them like Solidworks,
Autocad, and other programs.

Am I asking for trouble trying to make use of User Profiles?

Not as long as the profiles reside on the local mnachines; you'd likely
have problems with roaming profiles.

I had a brain cramp. I did mean Roaming.

So it is an issue.

Somewhat:

Roaming profiles are not saved if you log off a Microsoft Windows
XP-based computer or a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer
