User Profile Setup

I'm sure that there is a simple answer to this question, but I can't find it.
My Vista computer has two user profiles: mine as administrator and my son's
as limited. The only way my son can download a game, either from a disc or
the internet, is to put it on my profile and to play it on my profile. If he
tries to put it on his profile it either will not let him, even after I give
administrative permission, or it will not play. How do I change the settings
so that he can load and play games? It's ok if I have to enter my password
to permit him to download so long as he can play on his profile.

Install the game as an administrator, then run it as the user. Every
game may be different; what happens when it "will not let him" run it or
when it "will not play"? An error? Nothing?

Try right-clicking the game icon and choose Run As Administrator. This
will run the game using your administrator account while being logged
into his limited account. You will need to enter your password every
time he runs the game.

A lot of old or poorly written software, especially games, assume that
everybody in the universe is an administrator, and do not work right for
limited users. Each application can have different problems, so it's
impossible to know how to fix the specific ones you're having trouble with.

Oh, I see you reposted and got a solution there.

Thanks for the info. I believe you answered my question. I'll have him try
some of his games again. It's been a while so I don't remember the error
messages.

If I reposted it was by mistake.

thanks
Al
