User Name on Start Menu

I misspelled the user name when installing XP. The Name
above the start menu is wrong now, and I can't find a
place to edit it. If I right click the start menu in
explorer and go to properties, and select the security
tab, I can see the misspelled name in the list of users,
but I can't find it in the registry to change it. Where
can it be edited.

user accounts, click the user you want to change
under: "or pick an account to change"
then "Change my Name"=this will change the displayed
name, but not the folder name under \documents & Settings.

or

just create a new account with the correct name, and
transfer your information into the new account, then
delete the misspelled account.
