User Name Incorrect

We have a user who's name keeps having an extra letter
appear. He is on Windows 2000, Office 2000, SP3. We have
removed the extra letter from his name (Tools/Options/User
Information)several times but it keeps returning. Does
anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks, Katherine

I'm not sure what you mean by asking if it's been
corrected in Normal.dot. When Normal.dot file is opened,
it just opens a blank Word document. Katherine
