User name and password for LAN

Don Culp

I have two computers connected in a LAN. Computer1 runs W2K. Computer2 runs
XP. When I use Windows Explorer on the XP computer to access the W2K
computer (i.e., My network places\Entire network\Microsoft Windows
network\Workgroup\Computer1), a dialog box pops up asking for my user name
and password. Are the user name and password those for Computer1 or
Computer2? Where do I get or set these? (I'd prefer not to have to do this
at all since I'm the only one who uses these computers.)

Note: if I use the same method to access the XP computer from the W2K
computer, the above dialog box doesn't appear and access is granted.

Thanks,
Don Culp

Create a user account on W2K with the same user name and password that
you use to log onto XP. Then, W2K will automatically grant access.
