I have two computers, computer1 and computer2. I had problems recently with
files on computer1 which caused me to turn off simple file sharing, i fixed
these problems and went back to simple file sharing, however, upon doing
so, the way files are shared have changed.

In the past i had folders on both computers which were shared and to access
them i simple had to double click on them from the other computer, but now,
i'm having difficulty accessing files on computer1 as easily as when i
double click and try to access computer1's folders from computer2, i now
have to enter the password and username of computer1. Thing is, when i try
to access folders of computer2 though computer1 i don't have to enter the
usernames and password.

How do i go back to the way it worked originally whereby i did not have to
enter username/password to access folders instead i only had to double
click them?

On computer1:

1. Double check that simple file sharing is enabled.

2. Un-share and re-share the folders.

3. Type this command in the Start | Run box to enable networked access
from other computers:

net user guest /active:yes
