User logon names & home directories

Hi Everyone

I posted this question yesterday but haven't had any response. I
apologise in advance if it appears to be a 'stupid' question but I
have no experience of roaming profiles. I would be very grateful for
any advise or pointers as to where else to look for further info.

We have a Win 2000 Server and are using roaming profiles. Management
have decided that they want to change the User logon names. If we
change the User logon name and the pre-Windows 2000 User logon name,
is it simply a matter of renaming the users home directory to match
the logon names? Are there any other issues that we should be aware of
before we do this? Thanks in advance.

Mike.

Yes, and their roaming profile folders, perhaps...

Well, before doing anything, including blowing your nose, good idea to make
backups first.
