User Level Security

I have a split MDB and BE database written in Access 2003.
I want to protect my table/query design and have read loads of information
in this newsgroup on the subject and think I need to set up User Level
Security.
There does however appear to be very differing views on how best to do this.
Use this wizard or don't. Unsplit the databse first or don't etc. The most
consistent thing appears to be to read and understand the Microsoft User
Level Security FAQ's. I have tried several links to this from this newsgroup
and the Microsoft Office site but to no avail. Can somebody please point me
to it? Sorry.
God only help me when I come to actually try to do this.

Well that makes me feel better, or perhaps look more stupid?
Neither Kens nor Toms links worked either.
I'll look at the other links though and perhaps try these again later.
Thanks.

Simon,

It's not you. I have personally noticed a huge increase in the number of
Page Not Found errors, in the last week or so, when clicking on hyperlinks
from within the MS Web portal that you used to post your message. The same
link usually always works on the second try, after I close the window that
displays the error. Go figure.

I tested the link provided by Ken for the on-line version. It worked for me.
