Security Level

Hi,

I have develop a database now in user by 3 departments. This database work
fine except it does not have any security level setting. The management
asked me to add this feature for example setting up 3 groups (users,
department head and Head of orgnazation). Users can do certain thing where
as Department Head can do certain thing that Users cannot do...

I cannot find a way to setup this security level. Could somebody give some
ideas. Does this related to Access Security (Log on) or it is a separate
setup?

I suggest you start by reading
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];207793

Access security is a great feature, but it is, by nature a complex product
with a very steep learning curve. Properly used it offers very safe
versatile protection and control. However a simple mistake can easily lock
you out of your database, which might require the paid services of a
professional to help you get back in.

Practice on some copies to make sure you know what you are doing.
